From FrontPage to the Front Line: How Curiosity Became a Career

31 May 2026

The journey began during school when I was first introduced to web development through Microsoft FrontPage. I was immediately captivated by the creative possibilities — incorporating graphics, customising layouts, and working with local servers. Those early experiments didn't make me a developer overnight, but they sparked something that never really went away.

I later expanded into Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, and while skills were limited at the time, the curiosity was real. Those hours spent experimenting with code and design became the foundation of the industry I work in today.

What began as a fascination with building things for the web has grown into 15 years of leading complex digital commerce programmes. eCommerce became my professional home — and my responsibilities evolved from delivery into strategy, architecture, and cross-functional leadership.

Each project, each transformation, and each challenge has sharpened my understanding of what it genuinely takes to build and scale digital operations in competitive, fast-moving markets.
